Wired if you can. A hardwired connection is almost always ideal.

While I agree, it shouldn't make much of a difference either way (speed wise) if you have a good signal + router.

You can wire your computer to your xbox and "bridge" the connection with an Ethernet cable... That's what I do.

X2. I had my 360 with a wireless adaptor, and it worked fine. But I prefer cable over wireless anyday.

ideal= wired.
Mines wireless and netflix is almost always HD when offered. Meaning the signal is great.

i run wired and have no issues at all getting HD movies if they are offered. I'm running a good connection though as well

I'm wireless, but my PS3 and Xbox, are 6 inches away from a range extender in the room they're in... 100% signal strength... The range extender cost me like $20.00. The range extender has an output for an ethernet cable, so I can run anything in that room wired if I wish, despite my router being in another room.
I run Netflix on my PS3 though, since I'm completely against paying for Xbox Live Gold (long story). Sometimes, I run Netflix on my Wifi Blu-Ray player but the app for it only lets you play selections from your queue (no search function)... I also play Netflix from my iPad and my iPhone... Love it.

Another vote for wired. Mine is currently wireless, and while 90% it's sufficient... it really sucks that 10% you want to watch a movie and you start getting interference from another access point/phone/anything in the 2.4GhZ range.
