Default Which forged pistons on stock Ls1

well.. here i am rebuilding my engine. Its stock but i wana upgrade my pistons and get forged ones. Whats the best choice for the price. I went through Mahle pistons, JE, Diamond and others. Who have JE pistons on his car ? and which should i choose for a stock LS1. Keeping in mind, any time later on i might add a cam.

Probes are a good bang for the buck forged piston.

They have an FPS piston (pn P2600F), which is a high silcon, low expansion forged aluminum, like 4032. The piston has a 1.340" compression height, so keep that in mind if you're going to resurface the deck of the block. With a 9.240" deck, they would already be .009" out of the hole.

Stock bore is 3.898 or so. Diamond Racing has 3.905 bore dished pistons (P/N 11503). To get your block to 3.905 it will need to be bored out roughly .010, which conveniently is the max "safe" over-bore on LS1's.
