Default Wiring Harness Question

I was working on stripping the unneeded wires out of my harness and i kept running into these things.

Is this a fusible link?
What does it do?
Do i need to keep them or can i cut them out?

Thanks in advance

It's not a fusible link, just GM's heat shrinked "splice" connection for multiple wires. You can do whatever you want with it.

Eventually they will lead to a ground lug somewhere or back to the PCM itself. Some lead to sensor grounds or injectors, another is ground for all the coils, etc.

Thats a common splice. When building harnesses, I cut them out. Some you'll delete when removing unnecessary circuits, most will be spliced back together with a heavier gauge wire grounding to the engine. Its just easier to split them up, do the changes and put them back together in the end

I was really hoping you would chime in.

Thanks for the advice
