Hey mate ill post up some cam specs so people know what your talking about
Magic Stick V.3 237/242 .603/.609
Tick Performance Polluter Cam (24x/24x (.61x"/.61x") 112LSA)
Id say both would be pretty sluggish with stock gearing with the Magic stick probably better choice if you want down low.
Im interested with anyone with the polluter cam to chime in.

Interesting! One of my buddies just swapped from the MS3 to polluter and he loves the polluter 10x better and he even runs it with a 200 shot! I guess I could ask him why lol

What are you wanting to do with the car? There's a good thread going on about big/small cams.

I'd say small cam. But it depends on your goals.

havent seen too many results with the polluter. i know when tick performance made that cam, it was intended to make better under the curve performance than the other bigger cams in the market.

But between those 2 i would run the MS3... Just watch all of TRMIN8R videos with a 200 shot..

Ok I run a ms4,and love it,but for sure a higher gear would help it,are you a auto,or m6?big cams are great but they have to be set up right, some good extras ls7 lifters,4.10 gears or higher ( I'm running a 4.30 ) and rod bolts ,you know a lot of people say big cams suck on the street,a grandma could drive my car,my tune is perfect,I would call texas speed and talk with them,I have seen ms3 cars that spray run deep into the 10s,and I think its gay that tick won't release the specs of the polluter, don't look at dyno numbers though that's a big mistake,I plan on spraying my ms4 this year with a 125,

I had the MS3 cam and swapped to the polluter cam. I am so glad i did. I have a six speed and dont care about low rpm. I leave at 6800rpms and never drop below 6500 on a pass. It makes may better times and blows MS3 away on spray. on the street i have no problem cruizing around. I would really look into the polluter.

Well I ran the MS3 for three years and was a great cam, never really felt alot down low due to my 4200-stall. I then switched to the polluter this summer, and it pulls alot harder in the mid and upper rpm range than the ms3 even on spray the polluter feels alot stronger. Also while driving around town at lower speeds the polluter actually drives better than the ms3. TSP and Tick both make great products and I have known Jonathan at Tick for 6 years and after seeing other cars with the polluter and riding in them i was hooked. As far at track goes there about the same with polluter a few tenths faster on motor in the 1/8th mile. I haven't sprayed it yet at the track but have sprayed a ton on the street. Hope that helps, my car is a head and cam car with ls6 intake.

Yea i have 3.73's in there now thinking about the switch to 4.10's and yes its a 6spd. Everybody seems to have the ms3 or ms4 but i havnt heard too much of the polluter cam results only a couple. As long as i can go high 10's with the polluter and 125 shot and moser 9inch i will be satisfied. I will do heads next spring

Also if you run either cam you need to make sure you have at least a 3.73 or 4:10 gears and all the supporting mods. And the tune will make all the difference in the world. Alvin from pcmforless did my tune and he is the man to see, he works with Tick Performance in the same building.

My car with forged 346 stock 241's, Ls6 Intake and the Polluter. 28" tall DR's and a 4.10 Gear. I shift about 6700.

On a 150 Shot with 26" MT slicks with about 8lbs of air on the street. The car was a little tough to control here.

I'm happy with the Polluter. It's a little cold blooded when dead cold but not really all that bad to drive on the street. I plan on a set of 243's in a year or two when I refresh the motor. I will be hitting it with 200 next year year and hope to put down a number. Good luck with whatever you decide.

If it weren't for inevitable clearance issues with my heads I would own a Polluter. There's my vote.

Make sure you upgrade your springs and check clearances before you fire the motor. This should clear everything if untouched.

We have dyno tested larger 240s duration camshafts on the LS1 engine on the dyno several times before. Everytime we test the next super duper camshaft someone claims is awesome we find that while it MIGHT make 1-2hp at peak more, it's down LOTS over the average power band...

The engine dyno is used for exactly situations like this. While someone might think the larger camshafts are always better, the engine dyno tells the truth.

We've done probably half a dozen larger camshafts including several competitors camshafts. The best way to make sure your making the power is to compare it to everything else in the market. I really like the MS4 personally for max effort.
