Corvette Performance - Are 2008 3.42 Getrag same as C6 Zo6 diffrential?

I know the 2005 were weaker, but did they upgrade the 2008's with ZO6 differentials?

I know the 2005 were weaker, but did they upgrade the 2008's with ZO6 differentials?No, the base C6 rears were made stronger for 2006 and up but still not quite up to the strength level of a C6 Z06 rear diff (which might've also seen some minor upgrades after 2006/2007 I believe).

The Z06 differential has a large ring and pinion gear 8 3/4" and stronger internal axle shafts.
