New LS1 Owners - Newbie Tech - 85 mm?

hey guys i was looking for LS parts and a guy told me he had an 85mm mas air flow, he claims it is brand new and wants 250. my questions are is taht a good deal? and would that be beneificial to my car(00 m6), basically what does that do/replace?

No, that's not a good deal at all.
If you want a MAF, get an SLP. It is calibrated better to work with these cars. If you get just a GM MAF, it has to be tuned to run correctly. They are decent mods. Just allows for more air over the stock 75mm. It's a quick easy mod for a couple HP. You can get that one for $194.99 from us.

Leave the stocker in there unless is dead, and then consider staying stock. 250$ can certainly be spent better else where.

This. You don't need a bigger MAF til 450+rwhp. Spend the money elsewhere. Don't bother with a smooth bellow either.

Descreened 85mm truck MAF set me back $40 and about
5 minutes' work, with well known tables you or your tuner
can use to get pretty damn close.
