Default finally found the oil leak!!

So as some of you might know I just got my car running again. I have only put 309 miles on it and I have a horrible oil leak. I finally found that it is on the back upper corner of the passenger head right by the intake manifold. What are the odds that it just isn't torque correctly? These are brand new victor reintz .026 headgaskets. As well as brand new intake manifold gaskets. I don't loose vacuum so I would assume that it isn't the intake. Any advise? Also my oil looks fine. Now mildness whatsoever.

Did you use any sealant on the back of the mainfold?? Are your valve covers leaking? Its not your head gasket im 99% sure

Can I just go through the last torque sequence again on the head to verify it is correctly torqued? I really don't want to have to tear into it again.

Back of the heads are still shiny. So its not the valve covers. I put the right stuff on the intake manifold. The reason I said head was due to it being covered in oil directly below the head. But the heads are dry so I guess that wouldn't be right. Like I said no loss in oil pressure or vacuum when breaking. Just in about ten seconds I had a 3" puddle under the car. It is dripping on my collector and smoking everywhere.

I dont see how it could be the heads but sure you can try and retorque them. New oil is very hard to find the leak until it pools up. Im thinking its the VCs

If you have a 94 or above check the oil pressure sending unit....just a guess and a head gasket does not leak oil like that maybe anitfreeze

Might be leaking from the "wing" of the head gasket. I always use a thin film of RTV on both sides prior to install.

The wing I refer to is the triangle shape on the ends:

get yourself a small mirror or shove a camera back there and take some pictures of it. Itll most likely be the intake mani.

I'll have to go and take another good look at it. It's deff oil not coolant. The heads are still dry and shiny but the block under it is wet and covered in oil. I will have to check the top corner of the head and intake manifold. It's coming from somewhere in that vicinity.

That sounds like the back of the intake manifold. you really need to put a lot of rtv on when you put the intake manifold on iirc.

Dump a bunch of talcum powder back there and fire it up. You will be able to track the leak back to the source much easier.

Most likely culprit is intake manifold to block seal.

If it's leaking as bad as you say it's probably not the intake manifold or the head gasket. I would check the oil pressure sending unit like was said above.

That's CLASSIC!!

FWIW, if I were the OP, I'd look really hard at the oil pressure sending unit, if there's THAT MUCH oil back there...
