Fourth Gen Body Material?

Fourth Gen Body Material?
I have a 2002 Front End setup on my 95 Z28, and I guess you could say I got into a fender bender...(more like a nosedive into a ditch) I have no intentions whatsoever to take it to a body shop and spend a few grand on it, so I figure I'd try to fix it myself. There are several pretty lengthy cracks around the nose, and where the front fenders meet, and I wanted to know the best way to patch it up. I didn't wanna go out and buy generic Bondo because I don't specifically know what the body is made of. Is there a certain plastics epoxy I should use? My plan is to adhere the cracks, then shim plastic behind the cracks, and smooth whatever I have to with body filler if need be. Thank you for any responses.

Oh okay. Thanks man. Yeah I always thought it was fiberglass, until I got my Camaro. Now to find adhesive and body filler!
I'm thinking I should go with one of these: http://www.tcpglobal.com/autobodydep...ic-repair.aspx
Am I in the right ballpark, if anyone's done this?

The SS hood is fiberglass, the standard Z28 hood is metal.

Yeah I've got an SS hood. That's why I'm so happy that didn't crack. I didn't realize there was so much metal on these cars. I thought they had done away with it after third gen.

Can someone help me clear up this terminology confusion? The bumper reinforcement is the metal bit in front of the radiator, right? And the Bumper cover is the actual urethane nose part? The exterior? Because if that's really what that is then they're much MUCH cheaper than I thought they were. $100...?

yes, the bumper reinforcement is the metal piece in front of the radiator with the foam attached to the front side. the bumper cover is the urethane piece, the exterior part of the body

Okay thanks for clearing that up. When I saw some new for under $100, it made me wonder what I was looking at, because I was thinking it'd be like $500 for a replacement. If that's the case then I'll just buy a new one. No point in doing extra work if I'm gonna spend that much or more anyways. Urethane must be a really inexpensive material.
