Won't shift to reverse

Won't shift to reverse I went to back my car out of the garage and it felt like a little vibration. I put it in first and pulled forward then couldn't get it back in reverse. Will shift into every gear but reverse. Is there a lockout selonoid or something that could have gone bad?

yes.
With car off does it go in ? If so there is a solenoid to prevent shift into reverse when moving. Someone had switched the solenoid with the skip shift on mine and it would go into reverse only with force. Not saying thats whats wrong, but hope its thats easy.
