Need Ramair intake setup for 97 firebird!
Hey guys if anyone knows where i could get a ramair intake setup for 97 firebird formula with fiberglass dual nose ramair hood. I have a moroso CAI on it all ready and be willing to trade for the ram air setup. Would their be a huge differance in power gains between the two? Any help/advice would be great!
97 formula A4 ttop
current mods: moroso CAI, strut tower brace, subframe connectors, manuel fan switch, performance water pump, B&M trans pan. flowmaster. currently making it in to a TA clone.

something like this maybe?

I have no idea if it would fit without a ton of modification, but it may be worth looking into. maybe someone on here will have an idea if this would be worth trying

Yeah I found a listing on craigslist that some wanted to trade their ram air hood for a stock hood. So I contacted the guy and he said that he wanted to tone down the look of his car so he wanted to trade his ram air hood for a stock red hood. So now I have a ramair hood but trying to decide if I change my intake setup.

Yup that's what I did. The ls1 lid conversion. I used an slp lid and the lower box from a ws6. Took a little cutting of the hood but nothing major. I have a thread on it somewhere on this site. I looked for a lt1 ws6 ram air box and found nothing cheaper then 300.

ZERO Gains until you get to at least 70+ mph. It has been proven over and over again that the ram air setup does NOT make any more hp or tq on the dyno as the effectiveness of the ram air does not come into play until speed as said above, therefore there is no way to accurately measure. The gains you are feeling are subjective at best. Sorry for the rant, but don't mislead someone by a statement like that. That being said, I have the ram air and love the way it looks as you can't beat the LT1 ram air lines IMO.

I can't believe in all the years nobody has done a back to back or at least keeping as much constant as humanly possible two runs and measure trap speed with Ram air and with a normal CAI.
