Introducing another New F-body Publication:
Much thanks go to Adrian and Robb at Internet Brands and the LS1tech Administration for allowing me permission to discuss my books.
Many of you guys are familiar with my other publication “How to Build and Modify GM LS-Series Engines” as discussed on the forums last year in this thread: https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...blication.html I have received a great deal of positive feedback on that publication and I hope everyone else that has used it have found it to be helpful.
Now I would like to take the opportunity to discuss my most recently published Handbook titled: “1993-2002 Camaro and Firebird Performance Handbook”
I've been meaning to post information on this publication for a few months, but have been working on finishing up my 3rd manual which took very much of my free time up. More on that later, but it is an LS-Swap and Retrofit manual, it should be an extremely helpful addition.
The F-Body Handbook is a little different than a typical “How-To” type publication. This book helps the reader choose his or her own route for performance parts and upgrades - based on application and goals for the entire vehicle. The beginning chapters first introduce entry level topics including suspension upgrades, braking system requirements, drive-train durability improvements, and then intake and exhaust system modifications. In the latter chapters we discuss more involved components such as external and internal engine modifications for both the LT1 and LS1 engines, automatic and manual transmission performance, and finally upgrades including superchargers, turbochargers and nitrous oxide choices - all the while without complicating the discussion.
Each chapter has an introduction about the subject matter and then thoroughly explains each components function and why these are necessary for the goals of the user: Whether it is a street car, street/track, full drag race, or autocross, just about every example is covered.
Here is a quick list of the Table of Contents:
Ch. 1 - Introduction, History and Features
Ch. 2 - Suspension Upgrades
Ch. 3 - Braking Systems and Drivetrain
Ch. 4 - Intake and Exhaust Systems
Ch. 5 - Engine Bolt-Ons, Cooling Fueling, and Ignition
Ch. 6 - Transmissions, Converters, and Clutches
Ch. 7 - Power Adders: Superchargers, Turbochargers and Nitrous Oxide
Ch. 8 - Cylinder Heads and Camshafts
Finally, here is a preview courtesy of Google Books:
http://books.google.com/books?id=Elp...ed=0CEQQ6AEwBQ
The book is available through the publisher Motorbooks @ http://qbookshop.com/products/147260...-Handbook.html
Use the Promo code “DECEMBER” in the cart and receive 30% off for the month of December on any Motorbooks publications. I'll update coupon codes as I find them.
Additionally the book is also available through numerous bookstores both online and on shelves through places such as Barnes and Noble and Borders. Amazon.com is also a great source and usually has the best pricing. A link to all my publications on Amazon is listed in my signature.
I hope you guys enjoy this one as much as my 1st publication.

Nice Joseph. I'm glad there's guy out there like you willing to put the time into publishing something like this so people can have some practical information to learn from instead of the ridiculous garbage you find on the internet.
I'll buy a copy just to support my wrenchin brother from another mother.

Cool! Amazon has some great deals when you get multiple books.
No problem at all! These take about 9 months of actual work, and another 2-3 or more tied up in going back and forth with the editing department and then the design department. I am really glad this one is complete, and also the one I just finished. Now I can sit back and
Very true. I learn something everyday and I've been working on these cars for a very long time. Thanks, and hope you enjoy the read.
