2011 Mustang GT or 2011 Camaro SS
Trying to decide on which one to get. I've always been a GM guy,but these new 5.0's are sick. I get a discount on Fords and Chevys so price doesnt matter. What do you guys think?

i like both cars, but im going to say the camaro. i feel the lsx motor would be the cheaper of the two to mod, and i personally think the camaro is the better looking of the two.

Yeah I think the Camaro has always been better looking than the Mustang. My Grandpa is a Ford guy and he wants me to get the GT. I have always owned GM stuff except for a Lincoln Mark VIII I had which was an absolute beast. So I can go back and forth on it, but I guess I should drive both of em first.

The Caddy's parts are ridiculous to replace! They cost 2x as much to do a simple brake job or heaven forbid any other routine maintenance. Sure its a bad *** car and all and if I had the $, I would definitely buy one.

I would say...
Mustang.
I like them both; they both look good, but the new GT seems to have it all around plus better visibility. Comparing the two, the Camaro felt huge and difficult to see out of. The new Mustang had the interior ergonomics and visibility almost as good as my MR2, which is the best I have ever had/seen.
The price seems less likely to be gouged, at least around here. Saw an ad claiming 3 2011s available for 28K - loaded...two weeks in a row. Not sure of recent pricing on the Camaro SS, but last I investigated was around 33K.
Either way, I have better things to spend my money on these days, especially since I have 3 cars that are working great. Now if I needed one, Mustang would be my choice...but I've liked Mustangs since my first brand new 5.0 Notch in 1990.

Right now, I would go with the Mustang. To me, the Camaro has some catching up to do with Ford and Mopar. Mopar has the looks down and Ford has the performance. All Chevy needs to give the Camaro a weight loss program and make it more stylish instead of being sooo boxy. Don't get me wrong, I think they are on the right track, I just think that they need to go more retro and give that bitch some Jenny Craig!

^ The 2015 model will be on the Alpha platform, which is supposed to be roughly the size, if not a little smaller, of the Mustang. If they fix the look, I may like it a little better, but from what I've read, it will have either a N/A V6 or a TC or SC V6, no V8 option.

why not a 06 gto? as much power as the stang , IRS, and much better and comfortable to see out of and drive... if it was me and had to choose between the 2 i'd go with the mustang... ford as a company is growing bigger and better as well as innovation for their new models the 11' ford mustang gt is underpriced in my opinion as the camaro is overpriced for what u get.. not to mention more people have stangs than camaros so u can expect aftermarket prices to be very competitive
mustang all the way!
