Default Winter build.....sorta.

I bought a motor off a guy with a GM847 cam, stock crank, Oliver Racing rods and Mahle pistons it's a 355 P&P stock heads, I need injectors and roller rockers with pushrods. It has Comp springs. He took some stuff off for his other build. I've heard it run before he pulled it, it's a very strong motor, it was good for a 10.71 in a Formula through a stalled auto. I need help with injectors rr's and push rods. I will be pulling the old motor sometime this week.. So, any help is greatly appreciated.

10.71 n/a? Unless there's more to this mystery motor, no way. Who did the headwork?

Injectors - take your estimated flywheel HP and multiply it by .07. That gives you a good base for injector requirement.

Rockers - Comp Ultra Pro Magnum, Crane Gold, etc., in the 1.6 variety.

Pushrods - Chromoly one-piece from Trick Flow, Comp, etc., custom length.

I forgot he was on the bottle, lol. Probably a good thing to add. And, I honestly don't know who did the head work. I know I know I should know but I had planned on pulling everything and looking before it all goes back in I'd rather be safe than sorry.

If it's a used and proven combo, why not get the details on those parts he kept and just replace them with the same?

For injectors run either SVO red or greentops. The reds should be fine, and the green tops will give you more room to grow. Definitely run Self Aligning Rockers with that cam. Check pushrod length.

Thanks Joe, yes I meant NSA rockers. OP you will probably be spinning to at least 6800 with that cam, you need all the stability you can get

Thanks guys, I'll deffinitley look into the Green tops, I'm thinking of doing 383 next time around... Money is tight right now or I'd be doing that now. I just got a killer deal on this engine.
