Default where to send out 243s?

right now i have the mods in my sig. im upgrading to a FAST 92/92 and mite as well do the heads to. my goal is really 500rwhp at the minimum anything more than that would be great. the cam is speced out for a f.a.s.t and better heads so im not swithcing the cam. i told geoff my plans for the future. what do you guys recommend to send my 243s to get some work done. also would this hit my goal and break tens?

I dont know if 500wheel is going to be obtainable with 243s to be honest. Everywhere ive seen its about 1K to have your own heads ported or you can spend an extra 700-1K and get "max effort" type heads.

If you really want your 243s check out Advanced Inductions they were recommended to me, i thin TEA might also port heads, but idk.

with the mods in your sig you should be pretty damn close to your rwp goal by sending your heads to AI or TEA. Im sending my 243s to TEA around tax season.

We can port them as well for you. Complete CNC on the intake and exhaust, CNC 5-angle valvejob, and milled to your specs WELL under $1000. We can also go to larger valves if you like as well. 500 to the ground is a big number. You'd probably be looking at a lot of camshaft and compression to have a real shot at it, but it can be done. Let us know what you are looking to do and we can definitely get you fixed up!

I sent mine to advanced induction.. numbers before heads were 419/392 with fast 92/92.. numbers after heads were 474/423 with a little more to go.. trying out a custom ground camshaft now.. oh btw AI uses your stock size valves vice oversized valves everyone else uses to get numbers.. these things really perform!

#1- You're not going to make 500rwhp. Especially with a GM casting. Stop believing the marketing bullshit you read on the internet. It will only leave you let down and disappointed when your car makes 440-450.
#2- Lots of good options are mentioned in this thread about where to get your heads ported. I'm partial to A.I., but TSP's and TEA's CNC program works well also.

Good luck.

how do you figure? ive seen guys making cam only ls2s that are close to 500 if not 500 and i have a few more cubes then them. geoffs cams have been making in that power range with stock casting heads on 346s and those cams are alot smaller then the one he specd me

I did not notice what size motor are you running. Also Here in Ca, Newtech performance put down 500+rwhp on a ls2 gto with AI stage 1 heads and a babyish cam. I think it can be done with a well planed out and optimized set-up.
