Off the top of my head, it's typical 1/4"X20. Probably about 1/2" in length will work fine.

1/4" x 20 bolts can be had anywhere. Home Depot, any hardware store, etc.

LMAO @ RamAir To OP Just type those numbers into your phone or write it down, I'm sure there will be enough dumbasses up at Home Depot to figure it out. Sometimes I think my mentally retarded uncle could be employee of the month at places like Home Depot and Lowes...

It's a 1/4-20 bolt, half an inch long. I believe the original has a 3/8 hex head, not a 7/16 head as a hardware bolt will. This larger head may make it's installation difficult.

If I had to do this, I'd try to get a Allen head bolt, it'll take a 3/16 hex drive and have a smaller diameter head. I know it's tight down there.

Seriously? Are the people of this generation so lazy they cannot look up information on their own?

i used a 7/16-14 bolt for the dipstick because I do not believe the stock bolt is strong enough. But I drilled too far into the block and now I had to fill my block all the way to the head studs to keep it from leaking. That dipstick tube ain't goin ******* nowhere... where you goin? nowhere...
