Default Check out my new Edelbrock Competition Headers..

These are the new Edelbrock Competition headers. Part# 6570

Gotta strip them down and paint them but you get the picture.

Will post dyno numbers over the SLP Lts i have now this coming friday. (dyno thurs night)

not bad for $380. These cam with complete install kit, O2s extensions, emissions stuff (you can weld in) O2 bungs, merge collectors and gaskets. It cam with a helluva lot more than my $1300 SLP's did.

Enjoy

Nice headers, collector looks good!. The shape of the primaries kinda reminds me of my hookers.

Since they're competition, I assume they don't make a y-pipe for street use? Just true duals?

I'm sure you could have a Y-pipe made.

The headers look good.

Yes, they do make a Y pipe for tehse headers, with no cats. I just saw them in a recent mag. Should be listed on their web site.

I'm also waiting to install mine & see the dif over the Grotts.

BLKWS6 what kind of exhaust do you have now and what type do you plan on using with these new Edelbrock headers, same with just a different y-pipe?

I like the merge collectors and the price.
I hope they show good gains.

Slp LTs with a 3" xpipe with bullet dumps at the axle. Just swapping out the headers and will use the same xpipe.

might be longer than i thought.....was doing the install today and found my crank threads are stripped.

edelbrock headers appear to be about the best header you can buy for a big power ls1.

1-3/4 stepped to a 1-7/8 tube, merge collector etc...for less than 400 bucks!

better than any slp etc header you can buy for a big cube ls1 or power adder car

The collector in his pics is not how it comes, which some of you may have already known. He has added on where you see the weld.

Do these have EGR and AIR hookups? I would hope not but from your pictures it looks like they don't but on the Edelbrock website they look like they do.

Is it just me, or is there a bottleneck on the collectors? Seems like it doesnt need to be there... j/w

The "bottleneck" is a deliberate design in a merge collector. The collector tube size is reduced immediately after the 4 primarys to help facilitate scavenge. I'm not sure if the Edelbrock headers have a pyramid cone welded into the collector. Perhaps someone can help answer that. Merge collectors that I have dealt with in the past most always have a cone built into the collector.

Hope this helps,

Richard
