Default LM7 swap into 81 Firebird

I recently purchased an 81 firebird with a 6.6 and shaker hood. Engine and trans have seen better days and would like to build my 5.3 engine and 700r4 or turbo 350 trans to go into the car and still be able to use the shaker hood. any Ideas on which headers to use? long tubes preferably. im planning on using the edelbrock 7118 efi to carb conversion and also want to know if I will be able to have the clearenace and what not for the shaker. any help would be greatly appreciated.

for long tubes, check out the edelbrock swap headers. i'm not sure of the part # but if u look on their website it gives a listing.

on the carb setup for the shaker, if you need to gain clearance for the hood (i believe the edelbrock intake is a high rise but idk for sure) than u can use the wfo drop air cleaner base and still use your shaker hood components. if u look on transamcountry.com they have a listing as they're a sponsor there
