Question McLeod's New Modular Bell Housing for M6 Drag Racers

In the Manual Transmission section, someone posted that McLeod is now make an "approved" bell housing for the T56 for LS1.

Here's the link http://www.mcleodind.com/catalog_htm/PAGE6.HTM

For those that know, would this bell housing make our T56's "legal" for the track down to say 10's? Or is this just for converting to the T56?

Let's say you are running an NHRA or even IHRA event, and they actually checked your transmission set-up. Would this allow you to pass? Is this the "blanket" we have been waiting for?

Has anyone ordered and/or received their's?

Thanks

David

yes it would be legal if it has an SFI sticker on it, right now any stick car is supposed to have a shield and sfi flywheel on any car running 11.99 or better flywheel and clutch should be SFI 1.1,1.2 ,flywheel shields [i.e. bellhousings] should beSFI, 6.1,6.2,6.3,or 9.1mandatory on all cars running11.99 or quicker. NHRA general rules 04 book pge 196 and ET rules pge 23
