Just picked up a 2005 CTS-V from forum member. Dyno sheets and reciepts for all mods done by Modern Muscle. Car dynoed 440rwhp, 385rwtq there. Ran car on a Dyno Jet last Tuesday at a local shop that I have dynoed several cars that I have built and seen at big shows.
current mods include and were done in april of this year:
custom cam with springs retainers push rods etc. specs: 238,240 .605,.608 on a 110+2
springs are .650 dual valve kit
arp crank bolt
tsp ported ls6 oil pump( i thought i asked for a h.o water pump, but upon finding my build sheet i see that it was not done nor do i have a water pump in my stock parts)
in motion adjustable double roller chain
powerbond 25% underdrive pulley
160* thermostat
tr-55 plugs and msd wires
18 inch clutch bleader extension line.
K&n intake kit
ported throttle body
kooks 1 7/8 headers with no cats
corsa exhaust with custom x pipe
stage 3 monster clutch with 18lb flywheel
b&m short throw shifter
g-force anti hop axles.
It put down 440whp and 385wtq

Car made 390rwhp 350rwtq:confused: a/f same as printed out graph I got with car, was getting full time, no knock retard??

Just curious if anyone else has seen some pretty high numbers out of them??

could have just been a very low number dyno you went to and a high one that it was dynoed by the previous owner. They can vary that much, also some people can screw with the machines to get different numbers out of them. What gear was he in, temerature and humidity will make the numbers vary a ton. Just some stuff to think about. And yes have seen some high dynoing cts-v's but you may want to put down whats done to the car so others may compare, just a thought

Added mod list to car, modern muscle has a dynojet also, that's why i'm surprised the nu,bers are so far off. same correvtion factors and air temp with in 1 degree. Car runs great and is a tons of fun. Just a little FYI when u get a car done there. they dynoed a STOCK '09 Z06- made 485wrhp????? really?

First set up i ever had i was on speed inc's dyno with a set of heads from them. On their dynojet when they tuned it i made 423hp 407tq. I then went to a local dynojet to spray n.o.s and the motor run made 395hp 385tq. Both were dyno jets. I then went to a mustang dyno and got 370hp 350tq. All with the same set up.
On the mustang dyno where i go,the new z06 vetts only get 435hp new and 450hp after break in miles. this is the reason i do not use dyno jets when i dyno my car.so if you don't like your numbers now, come to the stang dyno i go to and you will cry. lol

First shop sounds like uncorrected numbers and the 2nd shop sounds like they dyno'd it in 3rd gear.

Post both graphs.

I figure your setup should make 410-430rwhp.

Yep, I've seen high numbers come off that dyno. Seems like its about a +40 hp delta. Dyno numbers don't win races though.

That's about what I was thinking, wasn't expecting it to make 440, but I thought it would have made 410ish from the cars that I had built and dyno'd.

Best to use dyno's as Tuning tools not bragging rights, let the track do that. It's best to use the same dyno so u can compare & see gains from mods you've done.
