Got my fistful of 10s. :)
Well, DA was MUCH better today. Slightly negative.
Once again, first run off the trailer was the best. I think the combination of the sunlight on the track, the high baro, and the 49 degree air, all made for great conditions. Track got really slippery after the sun went down.
Best run was a 10.89 @ 125.69, 1.48 60'. 6500 launch off the 2-step. Got it on video, but have to transfer it to a PC.
Also created a nitrous program (25 degrees advance, up to 4 degrees KR, +5% fuel) and got one good pass on the 100 shot before the track went to slipsville. 10.57 @ 128.9, 1.45 60'. One of my buddies got video of that run too.
I'd thought about getting rid of the 6-speed, but man, it's just too much fun at this point. I only missed one gear (4th) on one run tonight (I didn't position my hand right for the pull back).
I'm pulling the front wheels about a foot. Although it looks pretty cool, I'm not sure that's very good for the ET. Any suggestions there? I had my front Hal's set on 3.
And again, the motor ran awesome. Man, this thing wants to go to 7300 every time.

Set those front shocks a little stiffer and it should help keep the front end down. I would go as stiff as you can while still being able to hook up.
Bad *** times by the way

Thanks guys.
The thing about the nitrous. It's never been dyno'd / tuned for the nitrous, so I pulled timing across the board, added fuel, and enabled knock retard. The program that's in the PCM is pretty "soft". I think I can pick up more with tuning, but that'll be later on. N/A, the tune is quite good. Of course, having a 109 LSA cam with a reverse split won't help much on the nitrous either. The motor was built for N/A, and nitrous is just for fun every once in a while.
I did launch off the 2-step on the juice, but it was later in the evening, and the track was very slippery. I was nearly going sideways at the 1-2 shift on a couple of passes. Pulled a couple of 1.45's, but if I'd done it earlier in the day, it probably would have been better. The 10.57 was off the 2-step, but I forgot to purge.
I honestly expected 3 tenths from the 100 shot, and that's what I got. I was happy with that. I went in today hoping for 10.9x n/a, and 10.6x on the spray. Got several 10.9x n/a yesterday.

Yeah Travis, I ran a 14 yesterday. You would have too had you nearly hit the wall. Better to let out and run again than keep going and *need* the trailer.
I think the specs are 250/244 108.9 LSA +6 (or something like that). Definitely not optimized for the juice. Pulls real hard up top tho.
4.56 gears, 28" -S ET Drags, and a spool in a 12-bolt.
I've attached a launch pic. I'm having trouble with my video import - no audio and choppy picture - but here's a sample...

Well, the list of 'nitrous issues' is pretty long... Bottle pressure was at 900 or thereabouts (cold day, I do have a heater, it was on all day, started at 600 psi). I don't know how much nitrous is in this bottle (I filled it... last year some time. June?). I know I sprayed a couple of passes out of it last year. Plus, it looks like (EFILive logs) I was running about 22 degrees of timing during the nitrous runs. I was running almost 100% race gas (104). My solid roller valvetrain sets off the knock sensors pretty easily, so I normally have it disabled.
I haven't switched the pills since I first put them in, and they did ~+90 on my old motor.
I'm going to rent some dyno time at Nitro Dave's and get a better tune for the nitrous. But until then, I'm playing it safe. Don't wanna break my toy.

looking good Andrew!
i think you're being a litttle OVER cautious w/ the spray. perhaps simply kick the timing down a few degrees and you should be fine. i've pushed the limits of pump gas recently, and i know that w/ some 104, you'd probably be fine on simply the same tune you've been running on. just take her over to daves and make a nitrous run or two, and watch your A/F. should be fine.
Nice times BTW, congrats on hittin your 10 on motor! that's gotta be nice.
