dunno, im out of town right now, had it about a year and a half though. Honestly im asking because I swear to go the piece of **** is getting slower and slower. In order for me to watch a YouTube Vid ill hit play and pause it, walk away for 10 or 15 minutes and come back. All for a less than 10 minute vid. During the afternoon dont even try, it will time out. Its worthless, and 60 bucks a month if i remember right.

I jailbroke my iphone, and tethered it. Its the same as the AT&T speed/service, but at a fraction of the cost, plus I can toss up a wireless signal so others can use it, even traveling down the highway.
I had an AT&T aircard, and it worked well.

I got clearwire its somewhat fast pending what your doing or what you want to do.
streaming hulu or youtube @ 240p its really good @ 360 its good @ 720+ its starts to lag off.
playing quake live its above average playing ( HL2 source games )zombie panic its kinda meh
hosting a game or being a server in a room 8+ people it sucks.
42.00 / month worth it if you want to take it with you and dont have a phone line better that ATT land line dsl upload is about 1.5 - down 3-5 pending weather and location.

I have the Verizon MyFi thing... just use it mostly for surfing the web on my laptop when on long trips. I haven't experienced any lag or any slow-down compared to a dsl land line... my only complaint is if you set the device down long enough for the screen saver to come on, it kicks you off the network and you have to waste 1-2 minutes logging back on

I work at t-mobile so I'll give you my advise. We are faster than clear, cheaper (39.99), and we are exploding at a tremendous speed. On average we put down about 5-7 MBPS and some see spikes of 13 mbps here in Houston. Thats much faster than clear, we have a MUCH larger coverage map, and we are overall better. Over this next year, we are going to have our network pushing 42 mbps this year. Within the next 4 years we will have our network pushing 658 MBPS. Thats not a typo. Also once your locked in the promotion price, $39.99, we do not take you away from that pricing and you will be locked in. I work at 8200 south main, Houston texas, 77025. If you are looking for the device I can provide you the 4G stick for free. Or if you need any t-mobile hook ups let me know and I can see what I can do.

658 MBPs.... would be cool, but I see a nationwide wifi being opened with the FCC opening up more and more signal area's....
Guess we will see in the next 4-5 years.
to the OP. 4g is a myth right now and is just a bit faster then 3g. If you lock into a contract with someone you are playing the lotto that nothing better comes out.
I have used all the major air cards. Best opinion is find the one that has the best signal where your going to use it most and then buy that company.
