Default shifter boot rings

hey guys i just wanted to say if anyones shift boot ring has broken that this guy on ebay sells stainless steel boot clip ring things for around $28 and they wont break and they are very reasonably priced. just click this link and scroll down a little and there they are. just figured i would spread the word on this cause it was a headache to find one in general http://stores.shop.ebay.com/farmerto...firma:US:10001

There is also a $5 fix to this problem. The stock ring is ABS plastic. You can get some black ABS cement: http://www.oatey.com/Plumber/Shared/...ck+Cement.html (You need the real ABS cement, the all-purpose stuff that lists ABS will not work as well.)

This ABS cement chemically welds the broken plastic stronger than the original material. Its great and can be used on other ABS pieces that commonly break, like the power lock/window switch housings, etc.
