New Toy for Christmas
This was my present to myself. Going to the ranch this next weekend to test it out. Was going for the XD-40, but sales guy talked me into this one. Hope I didn't make a mistake, but the price was right. It's a FN Herstal FNP-40.

It came with a cable lock that was in that space. I took it out for the pic.
The XD was about $50 more and I had set a limit for myself of $500. I could have spent the extra $, but I feel better knowing I stayed within my limit and got a nice gun.

I had done a lot of reading on here before buying and had my mind set on the XD, but two different sales people said this was the right choice over the XD. Maybe they're getting extra commish on these.
Anyway, heading to the ranch today and I'll report back on how it shoots.

Ok, the new gun shot great! Accurate, light and not too bad a recoil. See for yourself (that's a mannequin in front of the wood pile)...

Yeah, no one can mistake the sound of a Shotgun. Neighbor 2 houses down found out had his door kicked in during the daytime while he was home, good thing he was a big guy and they where chicken ***** with no guns. Came out of his bedroom with a shotgun but they heard him **** it and they had already ran out the door....scary
Only thing im gonna add is a flashlight, blind the jackhole before i make a hole

I got a 125 dollar home defense shotgun at gainer mountain a while back. No provisions for a chock, no plug in the tube and was told it is as short as they can legally be. It stays next to my bed with 5 slugs in the tube and 5 more strapped to the stock.
Went to shoot clays a while back with some friends and grabbed my Citori when I remebered the home defense so I snagged it to, to make sure it would actually shoot.
I ended up winning the shooting contest with the home defense shotgun haha. Shoot pretty damn well for 125 dollars and is the second smoothest cycling shotgun Ive ever shot behind a mossberg 500.
When **** goes down though I rarely grab the shotgun normally I go for the .44 Super Black Hawk.

Decent gun, price seems a little high I think. I'm a fan of Beretta hand guns. I carry a 96D Brigadier with one in the chamber. Theres no safety levers of any kind, just double action only to point and shoot.
