hey guys, i've been on here for a long time just never post. mainly just search for info. i had a build thread on here back in '07ish of my '67 camaro build.

figured since i'm on here so much lately i would post up the build of my '69 that i started in april after i sold my C5Z.

here is a quick rundown of everything to date and cliffs on the pictures.
front to back stuff thats done.
AMD aluminum front sheet metal
Speedtech sub frame
ATS tall spindles
'01 SS LS1/T56
front chassis harness from the '01
ABS, cruse, ASR
new firewall, smoothed firewall with engine set back 7"
4th gen camaro dash
'03 GMC Envoy rear HVAC unit.
DSE sub frame connectors.
'01 camaro chassis harness
new inner rockers, doors, full floor pan, rear frame rails and quarter panels
mini tubs
package tray delete
lateral dynamics 3 link
forgeline WC3R 18x10 and 18x12 with BFG KDW2 295/35-18 and 335/30-18
custom rear light harness with colorado trailer hitch light harness module (converts 5 wire to 4 wire)
custom LED tail lamps, 476 LED's in both lamps

yes it is, from home depot. my engine bay is 5 cu. ft. bigger

Awesome. I too had picked up a '69 Camaro, a few weeks ago. I'm going more the stock route with mine, but damn your **** looks amazing! I love LS1s in 1st Gens. I've got a 396 for mine, keeping it old school. I think the most I'll do as far as mods are concerned is a disc brake conversion. Good luck with the build, and keep posting pictures!

i figure there is enough stock camaros out there and mine has so much foreign replacement metal on it that i couldn't really call it a stock camaro anyways.

alot of wiring so nothing really to take pictures of. only have a few things left to wire but i can't do it until i'm farther along with my build. got the pass through connector done for the fuel tank and wheel speed sensors.



also got all the welds cleaned up and holes filled while i wait on the rest of the parts for the rear suspension to get here to finish up.


got the forward chassis harness pass through connector mounted and cleaned up.



also have the cruse control module mounted (and wired, not pictured)


finished the brackets for the HVAC module and remounted the PCM and rewired to fit.

just a small update. mainly welding seams, grinding and some metal finish work so no real pictures of that right now.

started working on converting the electronic HVAC door actuators over to cables. machined two aluminum bushings to attach to the plastic gear on the HVAC module. the mode door is a simple throw arm like the 60's controls were. the temperature door is not so simple because of the amount of room i have to work in. so i made it a push/pull cable. this is as far as i got for now because i have to machine a new more parts for the control head side of things and get a few motorcycle throttle cables ordered so i can adjust the cables.







also got the watts link today.

small update because i had a small side project to get done first.

got some 16g and 18g sheet metal and made a steel box to block of the driver floor vent. since there is a lot of room behind it i figured it would be a great place to mount the throttle position controller for the traction control. fully TIG welded and smoothed.

got the passenger kick panel block off plate done this week.



then i machined up some spacers for coil brackets since i am moving them off the valve cover.



then i TIGed up the "T"s and bolted everything together to check clearance. then cut 1/8" plate for a base then TIGed he "T"s to the plate.





then i mounted the drivers side packs to the frame. i'll mount the passenger set when i get the other fender off.



then i took off the driver too and cut the hole for the door harness



then i stripped the paint off in the area of the body side of the harness boot and cut the hole.




i think thats all for this week. currently i am stripping old paint so i can repair some more cancer that i have been putting off. then i can get the rest of the body stripped and finish welding some small things that need finished.
