Default Using existing wiring harness with new car stereo.

How likely is using an existing harness on a new stereo to work? I have an older Pioneer Headunit and would be purchasing a newer Pioneer. Is there ANY chance I won't have to wire a new harness?

Not likely that they will be compatible. Just buy a new harness adapter for the new radio, wire it to the new radio, and plug it in. Cost is minimal and it will be a bit easier on the install. The antenna and mount can be reused assuming they are both the same type of radio size.

I would say if the pioneer is less the 3 years old you have a chance it will plug right in
