two quickies.

1.. black rtv gasket maker sealant good or should I use a different kind??

2.. pump came with paper gaskets should I go get the other ones???

I recently replaced mine, and went with the metal gaskets with rubber. Autozone part# 35635

Per recommendations of fellow tech members.

GM gaskets are not that expensive

Yep get the GM gaskets, and blow out the w/p mount holes real good, they are blind (have no opening on the back side) so any fluid trapped behind a torqued bolt can crack the block!

ok pump done... gonna let it sit tonight being newyears eve and all.. gonna put some water to it tomorrow.. what is this about something to let the air out of the system and where is it forgot where i read it but i think its on the drivers side somewhere???
