Can't Unlock Theftlock

Can't Unlock Theftlock
I installed a replacement used Monsoon head unit and followed the procedure in the sticky and called in to get an unlock code. The four digit code I was given is 0xxx; however, there is no zero on the keypad - only 1 through 6. Nor can I get the numbers to come up pressing the HR and Min buttons.
What to do???
Also is the unit to be turned off or left on after obtaining the two three digit codes? I've tried both ways but it doesn't seem to affect the fact that I can't come up with a zero as the first digit of my four digit code.

Try this:
With the 4 digit factory back-up code in hand perform the following steps.
1. Press the Minute button and 000 will appear on the display.
2. Press and hold the Minute button until the last two digits agree with the back-up code.
3. Press and hold the Hour button until the first one or two digits agree with the back-up code.
4. Press the AM/FM push button after you have confirmed that the code matches the factory back-up code you wrote down. If "SEC" appears on the display, the radio is now operable and secured. (The original, unknown user code is still stored in the radio.) If "REP" appears on the display, repeat steps 1 through 4.
5. If the display shows "- - -" this indicates that the unknown user code has been removed. (The "- - -" will go off after a short time and the Theftlock code has been erased, Theftlock has been disabled and the radio should function normally.)
