unusually smelly clutch...
my motor and clutch has been installed in my car for about 4,600 miles now (about 4,000 of which were nothing but highway) and i've noticed that my McLeod RST smells a lot. even sometimes just taking off i can smell it. it's really bad when i take out of my steep driveway (in reverse) but even sometimes just normal driving i can smell it. also, i know very well how to drive a manual, so it's not like i'm slipping too much or revving it too high. i usually take off just a hair above idle and try not to drag on it too much. and i'm 100% sure it's installed correctly, it really wasn't hard. is it just because there's 2 discs that it smells so much? or does that particular clutch just not respond well to slipping? i've tried to adjust my driving to see if that will make it go away but it's still there.

I would say only a few idea's.
oil leaking onto the clutch from the rear main seal or something.
IF only the slave bearing was changed the old washer/spacer could still be on the slave, causing the new bearing to be pushed out approx 1/8" which could be putting constant pressure on the clutch which it never fully engages.
Just a few idea's.
