What cam? I would suggest a 3.73 or a 4.10.

Just stock right now, but I'm planning on highway speed.

To give you an idea my T-56 WS6 has a 3.70 gear and at 2000 RPM I am about 83 - 84 MPH on stock tires.

I'm going Turbo and building it for highway not drag. But I don't want it to take forever to move

for the ford 9".. for a DD/highway, maybe 3.50:1 or 3.89:1, with that T56 overdrive, you should be ok on the highway..

I am running 4.10:1, but I have a Viper T56 which has a 0.50 6th gear, with my 275x17's (not very tall) tires.. I am running 1750 @ 65mph..

If it's going to be turbo I would go in the 3.50 to 3.90 range. Don't want to put to much gear on a turbo motor.

3.25 worked great for the highway with a 6 speed....And we got 34 mpg.
