Question thunder racing cam choices.

narrowed it down to these three cams to use in my new long block ls6. other mods will be a fast 90 intake with 92tb, pacesetters, slp maf, ud pulley. the car is an m6 with 4.10s

current power is made with a 116k mile ls1 with 709 heads and a torquer v2 from texas speed. 422rwhp 398rwtq

what power should i make with the new combo? anyone who is currently using these cams please chime in with driveability issues, hp and tq numbers, power under the curve, etc. anyone from thunder racing feel free to chime in.
thanks!!!

I have the last one. Numbers are down there and it seems to drive better than my Comp 224/228.

Seems like you are doing pretty good with what you have though. I was 400/375 with the 224/228 no other changes but cam.

Need to be a little understanding with the auto though. They dont usually put out the numbers the M6s do. OP, were your heads ported before and on the new motor will they be ported?

I would also run the TR Raptor Cam. Maybe the largest i would run in a daily driver.

the raptr should have a narrower and more peaked power band that should better with you set up.

my 709 heads have the valves unshrouded and are gasket matched on the intake and exhaust side, they still have the small valves. the crate ls6 will not be touched as far as port work goes. i real world estimate would be 460-480 with the raptr cam im assuming? no one has tried the trutorq cams?

I can't see that graph? Anyway to get a larger version? No way is the 493 coming from a 346. If it is then something is real wrong with that dyno for sure.

My peak HP was 6500 RPM and peak TQ at 5250 RPM.

the raptor reminds me a little of the MS3.

My TRex just came in the mail today. I had a lifter turn on my MS4 and decided to go all out on the top end valvetrain wise and throw in the most proven cam only cam while i was in there.

Honestly, if your tuner is worth a dam, DDing/street driving a "donkey dick" cam isnt that bad at all, especially on an M6 w/ a gear

You will need to measure with any of them. Not much on a T-Rex at all.

Oh no. I had to notch for the RapTr .100 each because I had none. If you don't check it in some form we may see you here showing us carnage

Middle one, and tighten the lsa to a 113+3.
Just my opinion.
