The MFBA Road America Event is fast approaching!

http://roadamerica.mfba.org/images/splash-6.jpg

Spring is here and I hope you're ready to hit the track! Our spring
rental of Road America is the weekend of April 30'th and May 1'st.

We have a few announcements in regards to this springs rental.

First, we've updated our website!
http://roadamerica.mfba.org/
Registration for the event has never been easier!

Secondly, as indicated by the front page of our website, group
C-Intermediate is almost full. If you wish to run in group C please
get your registrations in ASAP! Late group C registrations may be
bumped up to group B or down to group D.

Along with that though, and unlike our previous events, this event we
will limit the amount of registrations allowed. We are capping
registrants at 30 cars per group. We may move late registrants around
as groups become filled.

What does this mean? It means get your registrations in before the
event is sold out!!

Lastly, we need to thank all of you for helping make our previous
events a success. We're here again asking you to help spread the word. Please
help us make it a great success!!

Thanks and we hope to see you in a few weeks!

Thanks Wrencher for the tip. I signed up for Saturday. Sunday could open up for me if a business meeting goes well Saturday. Wonder if I could add Sunday at the last minute if it works out and there is room.

Everyone that is a car person really needs to do a track day at RA.

My first event on this historic track was with the Midwest F-Body Association. MFBA is a non-profit organization and quite frankly "offered more than I ever expected". The novice group leader was great. He was very informative, extremely descriptive and obviously experienced with preparing rookies for what was to come. The "Stig" answered all our questions and coached us as if we were family.

The instructors were fantastic, they were like personal trainers. I didn't know what I didn't know.

My Saturday instructor took me from being off-line and jerky to a level where I could safely get around the track and find the line by noon. By the end of the first day we were on line, rotating the chasis, using less throttle, using less brake and going faster.

Everyone was approachable and willing to discuss anything track related and very informative regarding suspension setup and safety. I was impressed with the manner in which everyone was promoting the sport in general.

My Sunday instructor was a certified instructor for GM drivers. He was excellent, very smooth and very fast. After putting up with me for one lap, we switched seats and he showed me how to slow down to go fast.
Highly reccommend letting your instructor show and talk you through the course. Watch their eyes, feet, and their hands as they enter, hold, and exit the turns.

After two days with MFBA I do feel like family and highly reccomend this organization. Their instructors are great and so were all the volunteer track workers. I have already signed up for the their spring of 2012 Road America track day. I hope everyone gets the opportunity to do this at least once with these instructors. Thanks guys and gals.

Thank you for the kind words.
That really means a lot to us to hear feedback like yours.
The instruction staff & our head instructors have worked hard to get this event to where it is today. Safety is important at any track event, they've done a great job getting us there.
I am glad you had a great time !!! :)
