wrong pushrods 50 hp loss?

Default wrong pushrods 50 hp loss?

hi

well its a simple question i did a research and couldnt find anything

lets say u have an ls2 with forced induction + cam and u installed a wrong shorten or longer pushrod lenth

would u loose around 40 to 50 hp or u just hear a noisy sound ? and damage ur engine

Do you know the preload you are running? If they are very short (no preload at all) or way too long (holding valves open) it would make a differences.

You can easilly lose that on a supercharged car. BUT the factory lifters and a big window for setup. Too short (no preload)and you can damage the lifter/cam and motor. Too long could float the valve or cause P/V contact.

Sometimes valvetrain is just noisy no matter what you do.

Can definately cost you power. Gotta measure to get it right.
