I'm putting a 5.3L Vortec Truck Engine in my Mustang and have a few questions. Are there any companies that make a drop in forged connecting rod and piston for a 5.3L? I plan on having the heads ported up to flow better, cam it, carberator style intake, headers, exhaust, injectors, throttle body, and boost. Please post details of where to pick up pistons and connecting rods if it is possible. 4L60E, 8.8in mustang rear-end w/3:55 Posi.

you can check local junk yards and ebay for rear end. also, u may want to look at doing a 5 lug conversion while you are at it.

If you plan on making big power upgrade to sn95 brakes at minimum. IMO its not really an option but a must. Fox brakes suck big time.
