Default Intake for heater blower motor?

Where does the heater/ac system's blower motor pull air from? Friday night/Saturday morning I had no air coming from the vents. I could hear the fan running and it sped up as I turned the **** but it was moving no air. I'm thinking with all the snow we've had, some got caked onto wherever it draws air in and it couldn't push anything. Sunday, it was back to normal. I checked the area around the cowl and it was completely clear.

Default

It pulls the air from the grate-like plastic between the wipers, it can get packed with snow and restrct the intake but it would have to pretty packed in there under the cowl.. When you put the a/c on 'MAX' it pulls the air from inside the car..
