Default stock connecting rod...

can someone tell me what direction the stock connecting rods go? what i mean is, they have little nipples on one side, and i dont know if they face the front of the motor or the back?...motor was apart when bought....

Hello , yes the connecting rods go with the thinner part that is where the mold halves come together towards the front of the engine as well as the piston marking , both forward . Just so You understand what I'm trying to explain in words , the other side of the rods is thicker and rounded or there are no sharp corners . If You have any questions don't hesitate to ask . its actually for a buddy of mine, he has an 1993 mazda rx7 with a ls1 and 6 speed, but bought this spare motor to make a 383 ls1...but thats when he got stuck, with the nipples..lol..he ran 12.60s at 127 mph stock, broke the rear when he hit the n.o.s.,and my brother is fabricating a new ford 8.8 rear...but where old school motor peps, and are going with the flow....hope to break into the 10s on motor with the 383...
