I'm pretty sure it is 4.010" bore to be safe... 404 cid with a 4.00" Stroke Crank!
I have a 403 cid engine and it's currently set up at 4.005" bore and 4.000" stroke!
I have seen 404 strokers, so I assume 4.010" is safe! I also have seen LS2 413 strokers, But I think they just run a longer stroke... Maybe a 4.010 or ??
But to answer the question, I'm pretty sure it is 4.010" bore max, to be safe!
Don't know if it could go any further safely.
Maybe an engine builder will chime in soon.

I've just taken my LS2 block out to 4.030", still plenty of sleeve left. I haven't fired it up yet, but when I do it'll also be getting 15psi.

Most of the guys on the internet, who have never done it, tend to perpetuate the myth that .030" is too much.

However, there are plenty of .030" over LS2's reliably making good power.

Your call...believe whoever you want to.

Since you are gonna run boost I would just do the minimum cleanup which should be no more than 4.010

GM had a .020" oversize piston as max. Some have gone .030" without problems, but I would only do it NA. Had a friend making 800+ on a .015" block with custom pistons and a 88mm turbo in a drag car.

Quick Reply: HOw much can my ls2 sleeves handle? 4.005-4.030?
