Default STS turbo kit / Will it work with headers?

I see the STS turbo kits have the intake tube running up the driver side by the steering box. Does having headers hinder the installation of an STS kit? Any pictures would be great!!

I'm pretty sure shorty style headers will work, but longtubes will be nearly impossible.

Shorties or stock manifolds work the best. You want to keep that exhaust temp high and longtubes and rear mounted turbos don't work too well also try routing the piping from the rear to the front with longtubes our floorpans are not very generous.......

i made my own remote mount turbo set-up and with long tubes there was no way i could route it up that way. i had to go under the k-member and up through the fender where the stock intake goes

^^^ that looks really good, finally got to see what that part looks like. every one always posts the back part but never shows much of the front portion. im trying to map out how im gonna route mine and just not sure how i should do it. im trying to see if i can run a tube up over the UMI kmember but im not sure if i can do that. still trying to keep it as clean as possible without hacking to much up front

that ground clearance certainly does not look as bad as i had in my head. is your front end lifted or has it really been that long since i have seen a stock ride height in the front?
