Default CTS-V dyno, stock Vs wait4me tune + 2.55 pulley

First run is stock, second is with tune and pulley, NO OTHER MODS, stock airbox and exhaust. The tune is pretty aggressive, I was getting 1 degree of KR pretty much the entire run. Still, for a mail order tune, not too bad!

BTW: So's to not confuse anyone, my sig is for my 2007 Z06. Yep, I can't leave well enough alone.

The charts are for a 2010 V-2, stock 1.9L TVS blower with a smaller pulley and a tune.

He should be at 13psi with the 2.55" upper. Do you plan to mod the airbox or do a CAI? It would be neat to at the intake only then go back to the dyno and make a pull then start tuning. I think you will pick up some decent power at redline with one. You are making alot more tq than hp and I think the intake will help even that out. Congrats on the killer gains the rest of the power gains won't come so cost effective but they are still worth it. What other mods do you have in mind?

Hey Josh. Looking at how the torque falls off faster with the 2.55 pulley, I'm thinking either I'm overspinning the blower, getting it out of its efficiency map or I have intake/exhaust restrictions. The only other mod I'm planning is to open up the bottom of the factory air box and pull the brake duct for fresh air.

What do you think?

You are not over spinning the blower yet. I have the 2.55 upper and 8.6 lower. I'm with you on the restriction part, I have done 7-8 V's with 2.55 uppers or 9.5 lowers but they have all had intakes or intakes modded. You will deffinatly need a heat exchanger when it gets warm again. All the cars I have done has had the hp and tq right with each outher. Yours has more tq than most of them but I still think your hp will come up by freeing up the intake side. You are a auto right?

Yes, mine is the auto. It would be very nice to have the HP increase match the torque, mine picked up 112 rwtq and only 89 rwhp.

Looks good, If you are getting knock, that means that you arent flowing the airflow that you should be. The stock air box mod will add your 8 hp back. Just dump in a k/n filter, and cut off the bottom half of the box. It is also suggested that you replace your soft rubber boot 90 that is between the box and the throttlebody. We have complete kits for only $250 including the filter if you want a drop in kit. It will fix that drop past 4600 rpms. That is the exact point where your stock air box became a restriction. It started messing with the mass air flow sensor readings as well you can see.

In stock form on your car, you can see at 5600 rpm is the point where the stock airbox was the restriction. Cutting out the bottom and replacing the filter would have smoothed that out as well and shown a 6hp gain.
