Default What could be wrong with my T56?

Shifts fine into all gears. 4th grinds pretty bad when given decent throttle. No other gears grind at all.

Opened the tranny up, and everything looks ok. It is a Stage II build from T56 Rebuilds. My car has been sitting for 3 years... I wanna get it back on the road!!

I didn't have any tranny problems until I blew up my rearend. After I got the Dana S60 in, I found the tranny problem.

4-5000 RPM clutch dump is what did it.

Probably a worn synchro assembly or broken key. I've built a few T56s that were previously built at the same place yours was, and they used the crappy keys. I've seen that style break on 3 different occasions.
The billet keys that I use are different than any other on the market. They are actually machined here in Ft Worth, and I've never once had a problem with them.
Sent you a PM, btw..

You can't drive. That is the problem .
I would seriously think about sending it to TDP for them to evaluate. That is probably what I will do if/when mine blows up. That or look into East Coast Performance TR6060 conversion.

Yeah I'd be looking at a worn ring or broken outer ring. T56 rebuilds used powered metal keys and we have seen them fail as well. Keep us posted.
