What will swap over and bolt right up if I swap a LQ4 short block into my 01 Z-28 ? Well the tittle about sums it up. I have a LS-1 that put down 404 RWHP and ran great but now has a bad knock.
I am looking at getting a LQ4 out of the bone yard and then swapping it in.
Since this is my daily driver I would like to do the swap quickly. Will all my accessories from my LS-1 swap right over or will I have to fab brackets?
I am assuming if I go with a set of L92 heads I will need new headers or will my Kooks LT headers work that are on my 243 heads?
What about the FM14 cam and lifters from my LS-1 will they work in a stock LQ4 ? Could I simply be cheap and use my 243 heads since they have the good springs lock and retainers etc...
