Cool Bada$$ CTS-V SCCA race car debut at Detroit autoshow

What a beastly looking machine! Hope it does well in SCCA and helps dispel the notion that american cars can't handle.

Hoping to upgrade from my 2010 camaro to a CTS-V within 2 years. Anyone know if CTS-V is planned to have a short production run or anything?

The people who have that notion are already ignoring tons of evidence to the contrary, so don't get your hopes up.

The v1 was very successful in Scca racing. Im sure the v2 will be even better. The v1 won several races in the speed gt series and was subject to several weight penalties during its time to keep it competitive. It won the manufacturers championship in both 05 and 07.

V1 ran for 4 years...V2 will run for more just because of how sucessful sales are.

i wouldnt expect to see huge production numbers. i think they will remain at about 3000-3500 total per model year.

bad new is that people love these cars some much and the demand is some high, that they are holding value like crazy. 09s are still going for high 40s to 50k. in 2 years, i bet will start seeing the 09s in the mid to high 20s depending on miles.

That would be nice. I might pick one up if that happens.

V2s are going to be in the mid $20k range by 2013? No sir.

I'd say mid-high $30k for a high mileage 2009 V in 2013. Its too good of a car to fall that quickly. ****, there are 2007 Vs still selling at low $30k range.
