Default Having trouble yanking engine from trans

I am removing the engine from the top of my cts-v. I have the engine and trans apart at least an inch and it wont break loose any more. i have a feeling im forgetting something.

Converter bolts off??
Ground straps??

It's a manual, and yes the groun straps are off

Are you leaving the bell on? is the fork off the bearing?

The bell housing is still attatched to the trans. And how do I get the fork off the bearing? Thanks

i know on my 94 camaro when it had a 6 speed in it.....i had to pull on the fork.and it would slide out 2" or 3"s.
