I just bought a 98 z28 an the trans is shot to all hell theres no 2nd 3rd and 4th grind and the clutch is beyond the point of needing to be replaced. Im in desperate need of a good trans shop in NJ but no one I talk to can seem to even give me a sugestion, wondering if anyone can help me out here have to get the car running asap. Thanks

I'm not in NJ, but you can UPS the T56 to me for $100 each way. The Stage 2 upgraded build starts at $700 parts and labor. Sounds like you'll need to replace some gears and synchro assemblies as well. The absolute worst possible case is $1500. So it will be $700-1500 (probably somewhere in the middle of that price range). I also sell clutch kits. Check out the 2 website links posted below in my sig. If you get both a T56 build and clutch, I'll knock off $100-125 for a package deal. I have several customers in your area, and they all say the shops around there are WAY more expensive. One guy even drove the 1500+ mile trip down to my shop and still came out saving a lot of money.

Do it yourself, buy the tools and learn something in the process, its not that hard.
