Default Hatch speaker wiring

I'm installing the kee audio basic speaker package in my 99 TA with the monsoon system. When swapping in the JVC 2-way speakers in the hatch panels, do I just use the 2 main wires running to the monsoon woofer and not use the separate monsoon tweeter wires, or do they have to be wired to the 2-way speakers also? Obviously, I'm not using the stock monsoon tweeter with the JVC speakers.

This is what I'm referring to.

No longer using the separate tweeter, but do I need to hook up the two tweeter wires (blue connector) to the new 2-way speaker?

No, just connect the pair of wires that was connected to the 4" mid. It receives full-range signal from the Monsoon amp. Cap off the tweeter wires to prevent any shorts.

I know this bringin it back from the dead

but can I leave the stock tweeter in place and hooked up as well as add a new CDT 4" 2way to the mid location?

Will it just give me a little more highs from the rear hatch area or will it not sound good?

Will not sound good. Highs in the rear = no no. All you want is mids and lows, if anything, behind you. Best to leave it unhooked
