Default Steering Wheel Controls Ques.?

Ok, I know this has been discussed to death, but I have never paid attention before until now. Went to Circuit City today to see about getting a new head unit and the sales guy told me that my steering wheel controls would no longer work. I told him never mind and he said; "you mean you would give up getting a whole new deck just because of some little controls....this deck does come with a wireless remote!?!" And I said, "no **** man, I can see it comes with a remote and yes I would give up a whole new deck just for some controls because those controls are built in rather than me having to look around my car for a remote going 90 on the highway trying to mute my **** when my old lady is yaking my ear off!!"
Anyway, so I told him that I know there is a way to get those controls to work and that you guys would let me know how.
Thanks.
