I've been going crazy these last couple of days, spent countless hours online searching for the right tires. I have read just about every thread in this section and i still cant decide. My new wheels are 18x8.5 & 18x10.5s. I want to with 275/35 & 315/30 STREET TIRES. I would of liked to get the PS2s but they are way out of my budget ($500 per tire, CRAZY$). What is the next best thing? Nittos=no 315 in street tires What do u guys think of the Falken Azenis 615s? MTs? My WS6 is my DD so I need a tire that will last!! All help is appreciated, THANKS IN ADVANCE.

Just curious, I know you said you want a 315 out back, but would going to a 305 give any more choices? I would think there would be more of a selection at better prices. Don't have any experience though, just adding my 2 cents.

For a non-traction oriented tire I would roll with a sumitomo. I have had nothing but good luck with them. Grip decent, ride quiet and smooth, and very reasonable in price. I still run DRs on my #5 and #6 wheel for summer time. Just pull the rears and swap over and keep on going I think everyone should have 6 wheels for their car.

I ended up getting the Falken Azenis 615s for the rear 315/30 18. Picked them up from PACKERSz28Camaro, he was a lucky one that grabed a few on that blowout sale on ebay. Couldn't have done better for the price.

When I got my car, it had Sumitomo's on it and I was a little sad that it didnt have something a little more "name brandish" like Nitto's or Goodyears. But after putting a few thousand on them, they are actually a pretty decent tire, especially for the dollar. I know for a fact they make a 315 street tire for a 17" wheel but not sure on the 18's. Worth giving a search! Hope this helps

I find it hard to believe that you guys have good things to say about sumitomo. My T/A is a daily driver driven in every condition except mud. I purchased a set last year. Granted, I still have a good amount of thread left, the tire is complete garbage. I spin them easily; it doesn't hook on launches. Ok, so maybe the additional horses are to blame, but turning at 30mph=potential disaster every time. I have nearly spun out/wrecked so many times, I've lost count, and in the process become a better/cautious driver. I drive pretty slowly in the rain. And snow? Don't even mention it. 15-20mph. Anything more, she starts sliding left and right. They were pretty cheap for 275's. I'll be mounting 315's by the end of this month. I definitely won't be purchasing sumitomos again.

I can't speak on anything but dry weather conditions for mine. It never comes out of the garage if its raining or especially snowing. I drive mine in dry weather only and it's a smooth ride for me. Yes, you will spin on launches but that's because it's not a Nitto. Remember, you are getting what you pay for so it's not going to net you 1.8 60' times at the track, but if you are looking for something cheap for a DD, it's worth looking into.

Yes the V-band is my newest purchase from them as well. I dont typically drive my car in the rain so I dont ever get a chance to get "wet traction" impressions.
