Default SBC into a 98 F-Body, Rack/oil pan Issues?

From pictures I have seen the power rack sits very close or touching the oil pan on a small block? Is this the case? Would a manual rack offer more clearance?

Anyone have this issue?

The 95 i did was fine, the SBC pan is actually better than a LS F body pan actually.

I know with our BMR k-members that there are no clearance issues between the steering rack and the pan.

This is a BBC, not a SBC.

My oil pan was close but did not contact with my bmr kmember until I lowered the motor by removing the mount gromets and then I had to do a little denting on the pan.

That should be about the same as an LT1 pan except for the sensor provision on the LT1.

Best bet IMO is swap in a stock lt1 k member with lt1 steering rack. Lt1 is basically a glorified SBC.
