Default Umm broke something is it important?

when I was taking one of the bolts off in front of this the socket fell off due to the angle I had it on and shot the ratchet into this line and it was pretty brittle and broke it

PLEASE tell me thats important it comes from the fuel lines so its scaring me hopefully its just a vent of some sort.

What are we supposed to be looking at? I was going to say EVAP, but there is no EVAP solenoid even there.

The black vacuum type line in the middle of the picture is that just more emissions stuff? figured it coming from the Fuel lines it was important and this ONE last intake manifold bolt is giving me problems have to wait for the fuel line disconnect tool to get here then on to changing the gaskets and getting her back together

Since you have some non-standard stuff going on there, where did the hose actually go? The lower vacuum port right there should go to the fuel pressure regulator. The upper port to a hose bundled with the injector wiring for the HVAC vacuum. I might have gotten caught up in the fact that the EVAP solenoid was gone and the broken hose was pointing in that direction. The EVAP hose is bundled with the fuel lines on the other side of the intake.

Well the hose goes to to the other side on the intake by the fuel lines and I have emissions gone so maybe just more of them to get rid of

If you're going to remove the lines from the intake then make sure to cap the ports of as you're gonna have a vaccuum leak. You can find the caps at your local AP store.

Well none of this EVAP stuff is ACTUALLY needed right it has nothing to do with engine performance I would assume?

Technically no as it is part of the emissions system. However, if you're not going to keep it then trace the line back to the driverside rear quarter panel and you'll find the charcoal canister where the evap line comes from. I'd recc disconnecting it from there and letting it hang or you're gonna have gas fumes in your engine bay always carried thru that tube. The EVAP system pulls vapors from the tank and purges them into the intake to burn them off and hence why it's part of the emissions systems (just one part).

Here is some info, courtesy of SHBox:
