i am using a 5.3 starter from a avalanche on my 6.0 mustang. it is making a clicking noise and then after several minutes it will crank. sometimes i can turn car off and i can recrank it immediately. sometimes it won't crank. what are my options. how hard is it to repair? can i change the brushes or the solenoid?

A click generally suggests failing battery not sending enough amps to the starter

Find a starter/alt repair shop and they can direct you. Generally though replacement is as cheap if not less expensive than repair
