Default 305/35-18, will they fit?

I have a 99 camaro ss during at stock height right now and I was wondering if a 305 tire would fit without having to bang the inner fender. I'm also looking to have her lowered, I already have the strano 1.2 inch lowering springs. Am I gonna run into any issues?

You will be fine with the 305-35-18's on the stock ride height. I have those nittos on my 99 Z28 and I have no rubbing issues what so ever. They look great and hook even better

I would put them on if you can and maybe drive the car up the driveway if its not to long and see what needs to be done that way you can see where it scrubs but won't sacrifice the tire. After that, go to work on it. If your wondering about it before you buy, best thing I can say is it's a car to car basis. Some guys say it'll fit with minor work and some say it'll take major work.

Isn't this dependent on the offset of the wheel? I had no rubbing issues on my TTM's which was a 315/35R17.

I'm kind of having the same dilema. I wish everything on fbodies wasn't so inconsistent. Haha. Originally I wanted to put a 305-35-18 on 10.5 corvette rims, but I found that the nittos I want are actually cheaper in a 40 or 45. I know a lot of people use the 35's but what do you guys think? I no 35's would be easier but more tire is better and cheaper in this case. Plus I don't wanna throw off my speedo too much. Not trying to hi-jack, sorry. Should I just stick with the 35's and play it safe or go with a 40 or 45?

The inconsistancy is not in the body...its in the people that use inconsistant offsets to achieve one look. There is an optimum offset, wheel width, etc that CONSISTANTLY works whether you run 275, 295, 305, 315. T/A's can get away with a little more due to a slightly wider fender but that's it...

Do the math right, it works everytime.

Hahaha. Ok.... I was talking about inconistencies in fbodies in general, not about the actual body of the car. Ex, dyno numbers, tire sizes, etc. Obviously offsets and any number of different aspects effect the outcomes, but I wasn't asking for someone to attempt to correct me. I was asking opinions on whether to run a 35, 40, or 45. But I figured it out all on my own. I'm a big boy. But thanks anyway.
